Dr Lim Hong Liang is a highly accomplished expert and leader in cancer care. He has held various positions of leadership at prominent institutions including the National University Hospital where he led the Thoracic Oncology Service, Head and Neck service, and Bone Marrow Transplant Program prior to joining Parkway Cancer Centre.

In his earlier roles, Dr Lim was also the key medical oncologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital Lung Tumour Clinic (1996 to 2005), the chief of the Department of Haematology and Oncology and the Associate Chairman in the Medical Board of the National University Hospital. Dr Lim is also a member of the Singapore Cancer Registry Advisory Committee. His prior key appointments include having served as the President of the Singapore Society for Oncology, Ministry of Health Advisory Committee for Cancer Care and Medical Oncology Training Committee.

Dr Lim attained training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the National University Hospital after his graduation from the National University of Singapore (1986). He has also trained at the Department of Thoracic Oncology in Tokyo National Cancer Centre, Japan, with a Japan JICA scholarship, and in high dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney Australia with a scholarship from the Ministry of Health Singapore.
